Shoot

This another video with the eleven rig. This time however it is animated to a voice track.

Knight Rider Animatic

This is the complete Knight Rider Animatic. I used the Knight Rider storyboard. However I added more drawing. Next I edited each scene. This was not easy since the lenght has to be the same as if it was like an episode of the tv series. After which I added the original soundtrack of Knight Rider and some sound effects.

Showreel

This is my showreel. It represents all the 3d and 2d work I have done this semester. It is nice to see them in one video.

Burt walk

For this animation I was given a rig of a robot. The task was to make a walk cycle and a normal walk. So I imported the the rig twice. And animated it.

Poses

I was given a task to make some poses with a rig. The rig came from the 11 seconds club website. At first it was quite hard to get used to moving the rig, since it had many controls. But after awhile you get used to it. So these are the 5 poses I came up with.

Ball animation

This is my animation of the squishy rig. I build some environment around it and animated it.

Push

This my latest animation again with the eleven rig. This time the task was to make him push a box. Well, because I got some spare time I decided to make it a bit more interesting. So I build a construction site environment. The hardest part of modeling is figuring out how to devide a complex object into simple shapes. If you can do that than its very simple. For Instance the crane in this video is build by a duplication of a box. This box was made from cylinders. After building the prime structure of the crane I had to deform some of the boxes to make the crane more realistic. In the end I made a hierarchy, so that the movements are more precise and easy. after building the construction site, I imported another eleven rig. This time I attached a normal camera on his head and animated him to walk. I put the other rig on a different spot and made him push a box. That way you would be able to look through the rig's eyes and see a construction worker push a box in an elevator.

Pick-up

We were given a new rig, who also came with some assignments. This video presents the compilation of the first. The task was to make the rig look like, it was picking-up a heavy object. At first this assignment sounded quite easy to do, since I have some previous experiance with parenting in 3ds Max. However the proccess that is used here is not the same as the one I am used to. To make this video, I parent-constrained the object to the arm of the rig.(To the locator attached to the arm). Than I keyframed the position of the box, before the rig grabs it, or it will stay in his hand for the hole time. However now I new problem arises. When the object is keyframed to a position it will not be picked-up by the rig. The solution I stepped upon is changing the value of the blend parent option in the channelbox. When the value is zero the object stays in place and when its one it is in the rig's hand. So by keyframing this value I was able to make my animation more properly and add some minor adjustments.
